Bais City of Green, Blue and White

Imagine a City with Deep Blue Sea with dolphins swimming around and a mini Island which seems to have risen from the bottom of the Sea and form this beautiful White Sand Bar. Bais is one of the major cities which produce sugar cane in Oriental Negros, with fertile flatlands and rich fishing grounds were reported to the Spanish Colonizers, when they heard this they sent out an engineer to look for this Island and create a map for it. When the engineer reached the mouth of the river he saw people gathering an abundant fresh water eel locally called “bais”, when he Spanish engineer asked in Spanish what is the name of the place the people did not understand what he was talking about and thought that the engineer was asking about what they were catching from the river so they answered “bais”, when the Spanish engineer heard this he recorded the name of the island as “Bais”. After this discovery some of the Spaniard moved to Bais because of the fertile land they planted sugar cane and exported it to Spain through Iloilo. Bais during the world war two it was the head quarters forces. Though this City was at the center of the war those days, today Bais City is one of the most top Tourist attraction here in Central Visayas it attracts both local and foreign visitors. Located on the eastern side of Negros Island, Bais City is bounded on the north by the municipality of Mabinay, Manjuyod on the northeast, Tanjay on the south, Taῆon Strait on the east and Bayawan City on the west.

You may see birds and how it would build its nest for its young and how this species live in this kind of ecosystem.
